Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in North Carolina. This role is integral to the finance department, offering an opportunity to engage with complex financial data and contribute to the organization's financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Conduct financial statement analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
- Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
- Support the annual budgeting process and assist in the preparation of forecasts.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 1st Shift.
Benefits
This position offers competitive compensation with a pay range of $38.00 to $48.00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
